Every husband and wife duo Thompson Square need is love - and the hard work and perseverance. Shawna and Keifer Thompson will share the story behind their "success 10 years overnight," Sources: Thompson Square, which Thursday, November 21 premieres at, 8/7c on Great American Country. The special will include interviews with parents and colleagues, as well as acoustic performances of some of his biggest hits.

At the beginning of their relationship that developed a routine to perform and bartending on the Lower Broadway in downtown Nashville. "We spend 90 % of our ' directions ' time at Legends bar," Keifer said. Sixty to 70 hours per week were normal for the pair. Each had solo record deals fell through and when they were first offered a deal as a duo, which proved to be a false alarm.

"I do not think I ever would be the man to fall into something, it was really a bad time for us," Keifer said. The couple decided to give it one more year. Continued to serve and play whenever possible and agreed to make a final showcase.

There was no guest list, because I thought that if everyone pays to enter, they at least have money to eat that night. That last showcase resulted in record deal with Stoney Creek Records.

Being married to each other and their work suits the couple very well. "We do not function very well if we are not together all the time,” Keifer said. "That does not mean we do not fight like cats and dogs," Shawna said. "We have the same problems as other married couples.”

Being a couple and a duo that travels the country to perform for the fans have a problem, however. “The strange thing is that when you get into a fight in a tour bus that you cannot slam the door," said Keifer. “Because these doors have air compression you have, liked, 45 seconds to close.”
